Pellichupulu Movie Review Rating : Pellichupulu starring Vijay Devarakonda and Ritu Varma impressed audience with its posters and theatrical trailer. Senior producer Suresh Babu’s name in this small budget movie also created interest among movie buffs. Tarun Bhaskar is debuting as director with this movie. After a special preview show here is the review of the movie, Check it out….
Prashant (Vijay Devarakonda) is a happy go lucky guy who is contemporary to today’s life and has no clarity in what to do. He dreams of working as a chef and his father thinks to get him married so that he will attain some seriousness in life. Prashant meets Chitra in a marriage alliance but Chitra is hesitant to get married soon.
With the help of Prashanth she starts food truck business. How their lives travelled from there is rest of the story.
Vijay Devarakonda in the role of Prashanth just lived in the characters. Though it is his second movie, many variations he has shown in the movie speaks volumes of his calibre. Ritu Varma too is fantastic as a daughter who wants prove to his Dad. She is lucky to get such a strong role and used it to the fullest.
Vijay Devarakonda’s friend who played the role of Kalyan is just hilarious. Watch out for him in Youtube video prank episode. His other friend too tried his best to be funny. Nandu and all other characters hasn’t played it but lived in their characters.
Rest did their best.
Though Pellichupulu is a small budgeted flick we never get the feeling of it with the best output from technicians. Cinematography, Music all are in sync with the movie. Editing is crisp. Few lags here and there but dubbing too is fine. Production values are superb.
Direction by Tarun Bhaskar needs special mention. It has been years we watched such a refreshing narration of love story. He has crystal clear idea on what he is showcasing. If he can stick to basics, Tarun Bhaskar has a long way to go.
Pellichupulu is a refreshing love story we came across in years. There is no star puller for this film. We can see no actors but only characters that behave. Dialogues are natural. Comedy is so neat without any parody or double meaning etc., Songs are nice to hear, Story is simple and neat.
These type of films are very rare. Like Anand, Uyyala Jampala, Pellichupulu is yet another small movie which can go places with its content. Don’t miss it.
PB Rating : 3.5/5
